What is Prayer?

Quiet simply, prayer is a sincere, honest conversation with God.

Yes, we know that some folks tell you that you have to do this and you have to do that. But the real truth is that when you go to God with a sincere heart that cries out to Him, He hears. Actually, He knows your needs before you ask.

Matthew 6:5-8: And when thou pray, thou shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou pray, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which sees in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knows what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Can prayer be any simpler? Prayer is wonderfully rewarding. Prayer is food to the soul. When we diligently seek Jesus, we find Him.
