The Scriptures

From Genesis 1:26-27; And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Note that He created them in His own image and likeness; male and female. God is spirit; male and female in this scripture is not sex. Think about it.

When Sodom and the cities around it were destroyed, why didn't Lot try to find Abraham?

The Lord brought something to my attention ... how many people say the Bible is written by man; that the Bible is full of flaws, inaccuracies, etc. Some say there is no heaven and there is no hell. They say there is no real proof ... that dates and times are off. They pick out something and say that it doesn't add up. BUT; no one will argue that the Bible talks about death. At some time or another you've been to a funeral! You have to die. The Bible says heaven and hell; and that point is a point of contention. But, death! No one disagrees about death. If the Bible is right about death, how can it be wrong about heaven or hell? People don't want to accept heaven and hell ... they won't accept salvation in Jesus Christ through holiness. But, people will accept death ... why one and not the other?

In the bible, God never made excuses... why do we?

I read in the book of James that if a believer was sick because of a fault or sin they were to call for the elders to pray for them... and the elders did pray and there was deliverance. What's changed today?

The prayer that Jesus is quick to answer is that prayer that is seeking first the Kingdom of God.

Revelation 1:18: We always want to give the devil credit for doing so much - yet he doesn't even have the keys to his own home.
-
Jesus says to 'Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness' not our own desires.

There are some women that are misled by satan because as Jesus said in Mark 12:24, "Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?" (They do not read the bible). They want this new bible to take out any reference to male gender concerning God. I have never read where God said, "I am a man." We learned as children in school that in times long past the masculine reference was used to refer to ALL people... male or female. If people would read and study the Word of God they would learn that it is spiritual. The Word says that man was made in the image of God. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: (Gen. 1:26) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Ephesians 5:31-32) Thus; male and female=one. Jesus said, "I and My Father are one." (John 10:30) and "If you've seen Me, you've seen the Father." (John 14:9) Galatians 3:28 says that there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

I wondered how Jesus supported himself and his followers.
The answers are in Luke 8:1-3. -

God's Word has two versions of the same scripture ... one is for the 'religious' and the other is for the spiritual.
